Information and support for entrepreneurs who want to start own business
INFEX (abbreviation for “information for entrepreneurs”) is a project of the Educational Factory of Economy (BdW gGmbH) in cooperation with the Wismar University of Technology, Business and Design and the Agency for Technology Transfer and Furtherance of Innovations Westmecklenburg.
The project develops and enhances the spirit of entrepreneurship at the University. INFEX signify education, information, motivation, screening of ideas, interdisciplinary teambuilding-activities, goal oriented support of innovative new businesses and a lot of services during the first business year. The INFEX-team consist of 5 committed staff members who help aspiring students and graduates start up their own business.

Every year the INFEX-team organizes the Day of Entrepreneurship. On this day of communication young founders present their companies. The main idea is to awake the spirit of entrepreneurship by students and graduates at the University. The project has been supporting more than 40 successful foundations since the year 2000. More than 1600 students and graduates took part on INFEX-activities.
The project is financed by the European Union (European Social Fund) and the Government of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and it is free of charge for the participants.
